@fVc4FACE World War Three is not going to happen over stem cell research because the only countries developed and complex enough are to smart to do so. Even if they do, America isn't going to start a war over and lose lives because they think some other country is doing an immoral activity. There are hundreds of other immoral activities going on and you don't see World War 3 happening, do you? Ex. production of Nuclear bombs.

If I lost an arm, I would never take an engineered stem cell arm. It just makes me think of having the chopped off arm of a baby. (I know thats not literally what happened, but still it makes me cringe a little.)

a "leftover" embryo is no less human than any other human embryo.
A blastocyst( 3 to 5 day old embryo) is not really destroyed. It is separated, and it lives on as developing human tissue. After differentiating into heart, pancreas, nerve tissues, etc., those deemed less profitable are thrown in the trash.
In essence, a 9 month old "stem cell line" is a newborn's body parts growing in separate dishes, awaiting sale for profit.
Corporations should not own human beings.
