From the Citizens Commission on Human Rights (Scientology) protest in Grand Rapids, MI, 3/29/08

Some of the text is difficult to read but it's the best I can do for now.

The CCHR is a front group for the Church of Scientology to further Scientology's extreme anti-psychiatry beliefs. They set up an event at Wealthy Theatre to teach "the dangers of antidepressants;" the CCHR stated in the Grand Rapids Press they wanted the relation between the CCHR and Scientology to remain quiet, so we made sure all the attendees knew the truth.
We managed to talk to or give flyers to most of the non-Scientologists entering the theatre, but literally half the people who attended were indeed Scientologists or affiliated with the organization in some way already. Except for taking our photographs they tried their best to
pretend like we were not there and had several people at the door to try to usher in guests before we could give them flyers or talk.

A person attending the event later explained how many people inside were very creepy and always smiling, sometimes following close behind the person. Some of the presentations inside were also quite strange.

I left about halfway through but some VERY weird things happened toward the end that I wish I could have gotten on camera; it involved shouting and rude gestures from Scientologists. Hopefully someone who was there can leave a comment and explain things.

To those who have already seen the preliminary footage: there isn't much new here. I was busy trying to talk and flyer people and not being a cameraman so I really didn't get a whole lot of great footage. Sorry it took three weeks to get the same stuff with bad special effects on here but Premiere and After Effects have a lot of irritating problems for being professional software and it took some work getting things to go together. Also I was lazy.

For those who are unaware Anonymous does not actually use military organization ("platoon" and "company"), it's just a cheesy joke. I needed something for people to read during the time-lapse drive. I promise it won't happen again.

Yes, the rickroll was really gay but we though it was hilarious. No, no one else heard it (other than the security at the door).

Good work guys, and thanks from those who drove for hours to come help us out.

  • If only you got the video of the teen girls talking to everyone. The first thing they were asked was "Be honest, are you guys Scientologists?"

"NO! Neither of us are. No way."

Of course, we found out later that one of them was, and asked why her OT7 mother couldn't levitate. Thanks for teaching your children to lie, Scientology.

  • I regret having to leave early; if you were there (or anyone else who was there) please comment more about what happened, I heard some crazy stuff went on.

  • Nice. I especially liked the beginning.

  • Thanks for the comments everyone, I'm glad people actually liked the intro.

  • Could you please tell me what the song is in the begining?

  • INTERGALACTIC SPACE PIMP XENU! INTERGALACTIC SPACE PIMP XENU! INTERGALACTIC SPACE PIMP XENU!

  • Many years ago, Arthur C. Clarke made a bet with Ron L. Hubbard. The bet was Ron could start a rediculous science fiction based religion and actually get people to believe it. The sad thing is, he won. Scientology is nothing more than a crappy science fiction story. That's the truth.

  • Scientologists are quite possible the dumbest fucking people ever, they should be cosidered oxygen theives. If you don't like religeon thats fine but some science fiction bullshit come on!

  • All fake beliefs such as "religion" are forms of cults. Why does it not surprise me that one holy roller is out there dressing up wearing a mask protecting another useless religion such as Scientology!!!!

Let me the protesters a question here.

Do you go and Protest in front of Catholic meetings or churches as well? I mean they physically abuse and Molest young boys on a regular basis!!!!

I think both sides Protesters and the rest need to not cause scenes like this. Your obviously BOTH WRONG!

  • psych doesnt offer all the answers, but you neglect to honor the fact that it helps millions of people every year.

but then again, i can understand your stance.... it obviously did shit for your crazy ass.........

oh and make sure you copy and paste more shit. its always nice to not use your fucked up brain and use someone elses thoughts.
