Somehow Sam and Lou blend beautifully in this song. The sax is a fine addition too. THANX! Odd that because Sam "stayed out all night" he died young, shot over a woman in a motel. If he's just settled down, the world could have had decades more of his voice. Who knows the future of what might have been...

sam wasnt killed over a woman that was a cover up he was murdered by the mob because he wanted to live his own life and that would have cost them millions he was also getting a divorce because his wife barbara was sleeping with his friend bobby womack she married him weeks after sams death poor man had no chance but no one will ever write or sing like him R.I.P.your music lives on

About 30 yrs ago I was on my way to a party & ran into my little sister at a record store-there to pick up tunes for the party- she asked me for a recommendation and I pulled out Sam Cooke's greateat hits. Once that album was put on the turntable it stayed on for at least 3 hours- no disco no punk no new wave was let in- just Sam Cooke all night long- it was great!

I was 12 years old when he died and I still mourn his passing.
