It's hard to believe that these are recordings that were not pitch-corrected. I never heard that precise a pitch-command from a classical singer than in this recording of Winterreise. It's amazing. Whatever the expression of the phrase be - it's perfect command. That's astonishing. Does Ian Bostridge have perfect pitch hearing (and vocalizing!) ability?
He used to see three suns, but two of them have turned away to shine upon another, and now he sees only one, and he wishes that would pass away and leave him to the darkness.
