  • Great video... Amazing footage! It's great how you've put the photos in to compare what its all like usually... 5 stars!

  • Hey thanx! I am really glad that you enjoyed it and thanx heaps for the rating :)

  • Very cool, i was at all those places as well in march, watching a lot of times if it was going to overflow already. But nothing happened that time.

Is the whole swimming pool and the concrete bow bridge at cataract gorge flooded in that last part of the video?? Looks a bit out of control..

  • Yes everything was under water, including the kids play area. The flood waters were almost up to the kiosk. It floods very regularly, but hasnt flooded this much for something like 30 years. I take it you are not from Launceston then?

  • No i'm from the Netherlands :-). I've been backpacking half a year long across whole Australia, been also one month on Tasmania.

There i had to 'wait' a week or something for some other travelbuddy's that would arrive later on. That week i've been driving around on Tasmania on my own, seen Trevallyn Dam, the first basin, hiked a bit to the old power station, very nice places. I think i have to return once more over a few years ;-). Amazing island.

  • Wow thats gr8, I really do hope you are having a gr8 time then, and I am glad that you like our beautiful state and appreciate your comments here. Safe travels :)
