Taken from the pit at the NME Awards 2009.

**Graham Coxon and Damon Albarn.**

PLEASE READ

Song is 'This Is A Low' off the Parklife album.

NOTE: I'm aware that Blur is a band of 4, but Alex James and Dave Rowntree were late, arriving ten minutes after this still in their coats. Albarn and Coxon were announced as Blur by the presenter, they were announced as Blur by the V.O.G., and they announced themselves as Blur when they came on to the stage, so i'm leaving the title as saying Blur. Sorry for any confusion.

This is the first time Coxon and Albarn have played on stage together in 9 years.

(If you have something to say about how much better you think Oasis are, then go to an Oasis video and say it; If you can't handle the fact that the bands themselves have grown up and get over it, I honestly hope you'll learn from them.)

I'm adding this because so many people have said something; there were, relative to the rest of the people there, only a few of us in the pit. The rest of the room was tables of drunk celebrities and a balcony of people near the bar and such. This is why it sounds like no-one is singing - there was more of them than here were of us.

And of course any bashing, offensive or downright stupid comments will be removed.

  • was there , was brilliant, annoying how so many in the pit were chatting away and not listening. Was at the back drinking alot of beer with mates . was there for the cure but thought this was very good.

  • I know, it was ridiculous... I would have gotten a video of The Cure too, but some drunk guy who thought he was Robert Smith kept getting in the way.

  • Damon ,marry me!! i want to make you 2 kids a house and a dog

  • Haha! This is officially my favourite comment.

  • I'm still deleting comments from people about Oasis; why they're stuck fighting a battle that doesn't exist any more we'll never know.

For the love of god read the whole video description, you'll save yourself some time.

  • the reason people booed oasis is because they werent there because they were doing a thing called being on tour and by the way this performance was good but blurs worst song were parklife and country house because they were so annoying but as a whole this performance was excellent

  • I wish i'd got the booing on tape - after people booed, Mark Watson gave a speech on his opinion of Oasis, and it was less than friendly; the crowd cheered and agreed with him. It wsn't very nice, but thats just how it happened.

  • Thank Allah that I'm a fan of blur.

  • I am a massive Oasis fan...but honestly...at this point (and actually always) Oasis and Blur are so different a comparison is ridiculous...

I always thought something about this performance (including the crowd and video distortion) ...this vid especially...makes the song sound so raw and inspired... Well done Damon and Graham...

  • Quite possibly the most beautiful song in the world.

  • G Coxon is amazing!!

  • ...with all the Cure stuff at the NME I missed this...to my loss...this was really good....
