Most police departments will back off of a chase at speeds approaching 100mph. I mean isn't 110mph a little fast for safety. And if a pursuit is necessary at those speeds there are other resources. Some police departments have bicycles and horses. Oh, by the way let's remember that they also have helicopters and even radios. Those radios are really fast. And most criminals get caught later for stupid mistakes. Or would you prefer that the cops ride around in nitrous powered funny cars.

This comment is sooo full of FAIL it's pathetic. 0-60 in 4 will catch 90% of cars. I can tell you form experience that this thing feels as stable at 125mph as it does at 110. The 110mph limiter is a myth. Also, it's agility and storage make the Spyder a GREAT choice for police work.

Shut the fuck up...Oh and a Buell is a Vtwin that has 100horsepower with 5 gears and guess what...it only does 130mph and only weighs 400lbs. Do you think the spyder which weighs more will do more?

These things only have a top speed of 110mph. They won't be catching anything other than someone who pulls over. It does 4.5 secs 0-60 which is pathetic for a vehicle that light. This vehicle should keep police from being injured due to inclement weather. The three wheels will keep'em safe.
