I'm Caucasian, and I love my Chinese girlfriend with all my heart. But I can't learn how to say "I love you" because of all the damn music in the background! Don't get me wrong, I love the Jackson 5, but turn the friggin stereo off!!

I tried this in the China Pavillion in Epcot center with a really, really cute Chinese girl. As soon as I said it she looked surprised that I was speaking Mandarin, smiled, blushed, and said xie xie. It was the perfect opener for a conversation.
