  • How can we start saving toward our own childrens future educations if we cannot even pay our own student loans off?

  • In other words: I'm suggesting that you and Rep. Dennis A. Ross (R-Fla-12) can make a deal here: If you support the Balanced Budget Amendment, he should support BOTH Forgiveness of Student Loans (at least partial forgiveness: I'm a conservative NOT looking for a Free Handout of Total Forgiveness here), AND ALSO Ross --in return --should support HR2028. -- Is that a good deal that I propose here?

  • Congressman Clarke: I told MY Congressman (US Rep Dennis A Ross, R-Fla-12), that he should support your apparent support for HR2028 (Private Student Loan Bankruptcy Fairness Act of 2011) --I'm guessing you support that as well -- in exchange for your support of the Balanced Budget Amendment, but I haven't heard back from the liberal goof-ball -- you may be a Democrat, but all your ideas seem conservative and sensible to me. -- Why don't you contact Rep. Ross & make that offer I suggest.??

  • Does anyone really believe forgiving someone's current debt will do anything other than encourage them to run up more debt? And if you are the one in debt, and that debt is "forgiven" how do you do this without "taking" from the creditor. I sometimes think people really believe taking money from someone else results in some kind of magical stimulus. If a bank has to forgive $50,000, that's $50,000 lost. Either don't go so deep into debt in the first place, or find a job or start a company allo

  • Yes please!

  • Thank you Rep Clarke. You are my hero.

  • Thank you Rep Clarke for having the courage and insightfullness into the real people of this economy who keep this country going with our hard earned taxed dollars that the Republicans just can't seem to understand is not theirs but ours and they need to return what monies they did spend of ours to bail out the banks, auto and who knows what all--Bush needs to admit to his own demise that he caused this debt-deficient to happen and may have very well thought out planned this all-DEVILS (lookup)

  • Thank you for speaking out for the middle class.

  • Much of the debt that American's have that are keeping them from being able to move forward is debt they were maniipulated and coerced into having, often when they were barely of adult age. We have been told if you don't get a student loan you won't get a degree and will be a loser with no future. If you don't sign up for a credit card (no matter whether you want one or not) you will never raise your credit score which you need these days to even rent a decent place.

  • YES! DO IT!
