Bridget: Do they have the test results yet?
Doctor: (walks in as she said this) Yes, I do. Could I just have the immediate family to talk to first?
Nick: (too busy talking to Brittne to hear what the doctor said)
Brittne: But I like my new friend, Rick, here!
Nick: (frowns and is confused) I'm Nick. And I told you, we've been friends for a long time.
Brittne: I'm sorry, who are you?
Nick: (sad) No one apparently.

Doctor: I'm sorry son, could you please give us a moment?
Janet: It's alright he can stay.

(Nick goes and sits on Brittne's bed)
Nurse (Janet's friend): He loves her doesn't he?
Janet: (looks over and sees the way he's looking at her) I think it's safe to say that. (smiles)

Nurse: Then he better be prepared.
Janet: (worried) Why?
Nurse: (sighs) I hate to tell you this but, (pauses) your daughter has permanent brain damage and she's...she's paralyzed from the...the waist d-down.
Janet: (starts crying)
Bridget: Nick, can I talk to you for a sec?
(they walk out into the hall)
Bridget: I-I know we don't talk much anymore...and I d-deserve that.
Nick: (coldly) Yes, you do.
Bridget: But you need to hear this. You look terrible. You haven't slept in days.
Nick: I've been sleeping!
Bridget: Not from what the nurse has said. She said you've been spending the night here ever since....and you just stare at her.
Nick: (looks away) So?
Bridget: But Nick...(starts crying)
Nick: (looks back at her) What is it?
Bridget: Brittne ha-has. Per-permanent brain damage...and--
Nick: (crying) WHAT? What could be worse than her not knowing who I am?!
Bridget: (whispering) She's paralyzed from the waist down.
Nick: Oh my God...(leaves)

Joe: Hello?
Bridget: Hey! You finally woke up. (hugs him)
Joe: (wraps one arm around her neck and lets go) What happened?
Bridget: A drunk driver hit you and Brittne. You've been in a coma for 3 days and you broke your leg.
Joe: (smiles) Oh is that all?
Bridget: (smiles) Yeah. Wanna see Britt? You 2 have adjoining rooms.

(Joe and Brittne visit)
Joe: Hey Brittne! (kisses her)
Brittne: (pushes him off) Who do you think you are?!
Joe: (hurt and confused) I'm Joe your--
Kevin: (interrupts on purpose) Hey Brittne.
Brittne: Hey guy I don't know!
Joe: (looks from Kevin to Bridget) What's wrong with her?
-with Blake-
Blake: Ugh! I can't believe this!
Penn: What is it babe?
Penn: (groans) My mom's making me go to Alaska.
Penn: Aww, why?
Blake: She said I was a brat. Whatevs. She can kiss my big, fat --
Penn: But your 19. Legally you don't have to listen to her anymore.
Blake: Yeah I know. But MTV's paying me to go on the reality show "Exiled" so I kinda have to.
Penn: Well...I'll miss you.
Blake: Then how bout we do this right? (jumps on him as they both fall down onto the bed)
