LOVE Barbara Lee. She's my rep. However, I am not sure where she stands on my tough stance to ban all corporal punishment of children. To me, this is a big contributing factor feeding the cycle of violence in the black community. My limited experience tells me it is black women who really don't want to give up the spanking thing, too. Black men don't want to spank their kids -- black women do. I think this causes the black father to feel inadequate, and he leaves the family out of frustration.

@Trailbosster Actually, Barbara Lee started off as an aide to Black Panther Cocaine Kingpin Huey Newton. Her idea of a great leader is Fidel Castro.

I wish we could have a white caucus, now that we have a black president. Or, we could dissolve the black caucus. Racism s/b over, since blacks make up only 10-15% of the population, so that means if every black person voted for 0Bama, that means some whiteys must have voted for him too.
