Could be staged. You can't even clearly make out a cell phone in the video. This very well may have happened but I don't believe the majority of crap I see now a days.

my God people. this is not "child abuse" and this isn't a place for the prof to pay for the phone. She clearly had one chance to turn it off. Did she? Absolutely not. And, how do we know phones are even allowed in his class? (We actually don't know, but most profs don't allow it) If she is violating his class rules, there should be no mercy, with no exception. She was interrupting his class, and she had no right to do that.
