HD recommended.

The V'ger cloud is intercepted by the USS Enterprise, which survives the first attack from a plasma-energy weapon. Science Officer Spock finds that the alien has been communicating at very high speed and a reply to this message is computed and sent which neutralises a second weapon. . .

  • Have you ever considered doing the journey into VGER?

  • @jrc99us

Yes, it is a possible future video.

  • In line with your other TMP remakes, have you considered remaking the "flyover" scene with the Enterprise running parallel to the surface of V'ger? As overwhelming as some of the shots were in the original as far as showing just the magnitude of V'ger's size, I've been a fan of your alternate angles on what we see happening (like the different angle you used in this vid with the 2nd energy burst disappearing), so I'd love to see your take on that flyover.

  • @Vlorsutes

It is a possibility as I have the model and I also want to do the end meld/disintegration scene with the shockwaves.

  • wat will be your next project?

  • @kahabschvergesse

Not sure, you will have to wait and see...

  • Eyegasm!

I may just have to throw in the towel. :P

Thanks. I believe the Director's Edition new VFX were done in 480p not HD, so there is no blu-ray release. To be honest I think alot of physical model VFX look superior to CG, maybe not recent Hollywood movies, but certainly all the CG videos you can find on YouTube. If I could I would use physical models in my videos and enhance using the computer.

  • The Enterprise-B looks so stunning in the hi-def world.

  • Awesome. Beautiful.

  • If they EVER do a remastered computer generated version I think they should use your talent. I mean you are on par if not better then any guy they have.

  • @VideoSpaceFX I remember I did that shot of the explosion way back in 2007, on my old channel... here's the link:

  • Fan FREAKING tastic! "Spock... transmit now!" Love the exterior view of that plasma blast disappearing.

  • Loved the way the scene was set up. The music actually fit and it also showed the enormity of the V'ger cloud. I had forgotten that Enterprise was approaching at warp 7; hence the impulse engines where dark, and the nacelles lit up! Loved the over all blue glow as well. Heck something over 4 AU's in diameter and had 12th power emanations in the "blue: spectrum would give almost anything a bluish glow! ;-)
