The Original Iron Chef, the Japanese Chefs showed a Great sense of Honor and respect for the food and equipment during their battles. That feeling was apparently lost in translation to Iron Chef America.
After Bobby Flay Stood on a Cutting Board in one battle then Threw the cutting board in the next battle I Lost respect for the show.
Long Live the True Feeling of Iron Chef Japan.

Anyone else notice the way Kaga greeted the challenger? Very straight, no bow and only a hand when the challenger reached out. Normally he initiates the greeting. It was almost like he was challenging the chef to bow first.

According to the book, Nakamura did indeed beat Morimoto.
i have tried to watch the American Iron Chef show but within around 5-10 minutes I have to turn it off. it seems like it is lacking the same spirit that the original had.
To me the American show is more about the "competition" and not really about the cooking.
And Bobby Flay pisses me off =P he is an asshole
