Original version of the Hobo song BIG ROCK CANDY MOUNTAINS, written and sung by the chronicler of American hobo songs, Harry "Mac" McClintock. This was recorded in 1928. Lots of hobo slang in this tune. Check it out online and see what he's singing abuot. This song was cleaned up a lot and eventually made into a children's song. Enjoy!

  • omg you win for having that record

  • It was a modern version based on the Medieval Cockayne stories and others liek it. It's just a song aobut a dreamt paradise, this one being for hobos. The lyrics are actually not that hard to relate to the life of a 1930s hobo.
