Barred Owl Fledgling

This little guy took a tumble from a branch last Friday "Branchers" are a bit too large for the nest, but not flighted yet. Due to inhospitable ground conditions I took him in for the weekend. I brought him to Blandford Nature Center when they opened this morning. He's there now with an unending supply of mice, and a flight cage to strengthen his wings. He still needs to grow tail feathers. Once he's flighted they'll call and bring him back to my home to return to the woods from whence he came. He went through 16 mice, and gave back 3 Owl Pellets with little mouse skulls peering out.
