wow this was a really good speech. it really moved me and cant wait for the later speech. This man is going to turn our country around and help us so much rather than that darned bush!!!

I hope you are wrong. I personally do not worship any person, but the man stepped up to meet challenges to help to heal a nation torn apart by greed and predjudice. I believe that if we all leave pettiness behind and come together as a nation, not one man, but We The People can right the wrongs that have held us down for too long. Negativity and pessimism is not the answer. Peace, man.

NightMareLane - People color their views based on race because it's so intrinsically deep within them. It's all about fear and feeling that they aren't enough if they can't feel superior over some other group of people. Yes, I feel Obama will be a great Prez, too. It's an argument of semantics, but a mathematically correct one. It would have been gramatically correct to say the oath of office has been administered 44 times, but I take your point.

However, this is such a small thing, and historically correct, the way the historians count it. Are you really going to criticize this when Obama's successor made so many gigantic mistakes that have negatively effected my country?

There may have been 44 presidents, but it's false to say, as Obama did, that "44 Americans have taken the presidential oath."

Cleveland was president twice, but not consecutively, and for whatever reason, historians count it separately. So the way they count it, 44 presidents have taken the oath. Thanks for the attempt at a history lesson though.
