mine drinks all the time. I think it has something to do with temperature in their environment. If it's too hot, they move to where it's cooler, like near their waterbowl or even in the waterbowl. If it's too cold they move to where it's warmer, like over the heating mat, or near the lamplight.

aww how pretty :) unfortunatley, mine isnt half as graceful, and tends to shove his whole head under water when he drinks :)
