So he doesn't know music theory or scales. Big deal. He still sounds good and he's written some kick ass guitar centric tunes. So now I suppose you'll tell me that he is a crappy alternate picker with sub par vibrato too. Look BB King couldn't tell you what mode yer playing or spell paganni. Does that make him any less deserving of respect and awe? Nothing against GIT or any other music school but lets face it. Like any other profession, as long as you do your homework you'll learn the theory.

You know in Australia, where frank is from, you never hear about how awesome he is at least Americans can appreciate such a fine guitarist, as far as comparisons to yngwie go the fairest comparison would be that he too was totally unappreciated in his own country as well.

I was so excited to hear frank was playing with return to forever but when i saw them in buffalo he literally had one good solo. It sucks because when Dimeola was with RTF he took over the whole band. The show still kicked ass though

There's a world of real musicians out there.
