  • You have the patience of a saint

  • No I don't. The whole time I just wanted to do it the fast easy way, but that wouldn't help people starting out. I only did it because people wanted to see slow step by step by step.

  • Yeah but how do you measure it on a real person or if you plan on making the image bigger then the photo? I understand this is very helpful but at the same time its very boring.

  • For different scale you eye the angles or hold up your pencil to take an angle measurement. Where two angles meet it is to whatever scale you are working at. Yes this is boring. It is an exercise to learn that a beginner can use to get impressive results and build their confidence.

  • You make everything perfect, dot by dot. And you calculate every pinpoint and you're precise which is incredible!

Not many people care and just go for it

  • This isn't how I draw. I'm show what I would do by eye much quicker.

  • I like your explanation, but I'd rather do my 'exercise' drawings without such precise measurements.

Like you said before, normally you don't measure by pencil but by eye. And once you get into it more, this should be a sufficient measuring technique.

It's simply just more fun measuring purely by eye because it's so much smoother and not as tedious as pinpointing every dot with the pencil.

I like this whole series, though. Especially the first vids gave me some nice insights *thumbs up*

  • @zuhrymousa12345 he probably sold his soul to the devil, and it shouldn't take too long, it's just summon devil -> poke finger to draw blood -> sign contract between you and said devil.

There's also the longer method of doing tutorials or going to art school, but takes much more work :)
