That doesn't have anything to do with it. The regulations in the bill still adhered to rules of safety in lending. Unless you can list a specific series of failed loans that the bill was directly responsible for making, you can't make that argument out of thin air.

Plus this bill has existed for THIRTY-EIGHT YEARS. The only changes to it by the 2006 Congress were that low-income education loans would be a determinant of adherence, And education loan defaults are NOT an issue.

@nafaidni yes the liberal congress of 2006, forced through a bill that forced bankers to give out high risk loans. so yes look it up on the congressional budget office. p.s. we had debt after world war 2.. and no he actually made money, except for his military spending. his military spending was caused to build up our military, that was dismantled by jimmy carter, and built it up even more to protect us against the soviets. thank you, for proving reagan again correct.

Funny, show me the source for that claim. I thought the housing crisis, which was largely caused by the Federal Reserve (under Bush appointed Ben Bernanke) setting low interest rates on housing, encouraging people to make loans they couldn't pay back.

P.S. Reagan was a fool who increased the debt/GDP for the first time since WWII, and by 20% or so. He increased the nominal debt by 187%. He set a new precedent for unsustainable spending followed by H.W. Bush and W. Bush.
