A collection of mainly Labour election posters from the past altered to reflect the position the party now holds. All to the song "The Red Flag" - Labour's conference anthem.

  • ANY labour govt is always better than the disgusting tories

  • @DeformedSquirrel Even one that acts just like the Tories?

Like the last one for example? Iraq. Trident. PFI. Sucking up to the bankers.

Just what does a Labour government have to do to make you not want them?

  • More SNP bullshit.

  • @TheSunzuki1983 Oh come on Sunzuki. You jmust have something more substantial to say than that?

    I mean, that's just childish.

I agree that 'New Labour' is just 'Diet-Tory' or 'Tory-Lite' and was disgusted when they chose the Red Flag as an anthem, because it in no way represents what they stand for now.

But can you really see the SWP or CPGB getting enough (or any?) MPs to make a difference ?

The two main parties are both just tools of the various business interests that own them.

It's the same old shit, it's just from a different arsehole.

I say it's time to storm the 'Winter Palace', - Who's with me ?

  • @ChicDhu Make millions unemployed and cut the welfare system and pensions for those already most disadvantaged, no wait... that's the Tories!

  • Then What? A booming economy, with billions of more pounds to spend on Scottish health, Scottish education etc.

  • @InfidelSlaughter Good man :D

  • PS. This is olnly my thoughts and wonderings, I have never studied politcal thinking or history in more detail than A level.

  • I learnt in history A level that during economic good times, most political parties lean more towards the middle as a 'comfy' way to make decisions, by not changing much. Then during harder times parties become more left or right leaning as they move towards their core values in trying to change the state of affairs for everybody.

So maybe that is why the last labour government became less socialist than previously, because during good times there is no need to change anything as much.

  • @Pr0pagandaFilms Yes. Fuck you and die.

  • @ChicDhu PFI was started under the Major government. It was a mistake and clearly it was always a flawed policy but you can understand the desperation to increase service capacity given the political pressures and a decade of neglect under Thatcher.

New Labour were far from perfect but I'd take them over this bunch of half-crazed, economically illiterate monsters we have running things now.

  • Am i the only one who thinks we need to change back to absoloute monarchy.
