Moment of silence is needed and prayer for a Woman who had WLS on December the 21st 2010 and did not make it to the recovery room. I do not have every detail but it appears that it was at the mistake of the surgeon...

Ultimately - this video is about the most serious complication of Gastric Bypass or any other WLS. Complications are generally not spoken about - but need to be.

If you are Pre-Op watching this video - My Question for you is, "Is getting the weight off, losing weight worth your life?" I mean honestly. "Has your frustration with your weight gotten to the point of willing to risk it all?"

My Answer was and still to this day - Yes. I was at the point where Gastric Bypass was my choice even if it meant my life because the weight was going to take it if I didn't do something. If you are at this point - then continue on with your journey and we will all be here to support you.

The name of the person was promised not to be released - but I want everyone to stop and say a prayer for all those who have lost someone to either obesity or wls... Life is so short, thank God for the gifts you have now - dont wait til tomorrow to thank him - you never know if today is your last.

  • I am not willing to die for the surgery I'm not ready to die but my health is on a steady decline and this is the only thing I can do for my kids so that I can be around longer!

  • @mom2bgtwins05 Its not the only thing you can do. Also - this surgery should not be done for anyone else - not even for your kids. I understand you are worried, and want to be around for your children - But, your kids need you around and even more they need you around healthy. I am saying in this video that you need to be ready for anything. You need to be ready for the results both good and bad. IF you want to be around for your children, good, thats what a good mom does - just make sure

  • @mom2bgtwins05 **part two - make sure this is the last resort, and you have taken all other measures nec to be there for them. This surgery is not a fix all, is all I am trying to say here. This surgery could cause you more problems than you have now - or it could make you perfect and all will be great - Only God knows the answer. I am only giving my followers and those who straggle and watch my video to be well informed and understand how this is a surgery - and a surgery is serious.

  • I have two young ones and and wonderful husband. That is why I want the surgery so I can live to see my kids grow and grow old with my husband. As weird as it sounds I am not scared of dying during or shortly after surgery but I am worried that the older I get the more my body will have issues. Have you had any complications since your surgery?

  • @lts4thewin I have had many many complications from RNY. I have posted a video in a red shirt where I explain them all - lol too many to list here...

  • Im so sorry to hear this sad news. Im pre op Feb. 7th and this scares me to death.

  • Hello I will be going for my first visit to the surgeon sometime soon and I was wondering if I could have your opinion. I am 23 weighing around 400 Lbs. I already have high blood pressure. I have tried working out and eating right but I have not lost any weight. The doctor told me with family history like diabetes, heart disease, and high blood pressure on both sides of my family that I should have the surgery. I was wondering was the surgery worth it to you? Part 1

  • Wow,I have been looking for something like this for years. All I find on the internet is all good things about this surgery. My daughter was about 20 when she had the gastric bypass.Yes she was told of the risk but also in the same breath she was told she was young and will do fine. She has had numerous surgeries and ulcers and ect, ect. Now she has to have a hysterectomy. She is 24 and diabled.Think about it,no,really think about doing this.

  • I had it in 11-2001. I regret it everyday. I am 32 and basically disabled. Poor vitamins low blood cell counts. Always sick tiered vomiting ....ect.. its aweful
