This took place at La Rumba - a popular gringo dance bar in Xela.
The amazing dancer I´m performing with is Kristi from Canada - definitely one of the best dancers that I´ve had the pleasure of sharing the floor with :-)
It all began when Fernando, the owner of La Rumba, became fascinated with the New York Salsa style after seeing us dance one night, and asked us to do a show the following week.
On the night, after realising that the DJ couldn´t play our song (an edited version of "Mambo Pantera" to which we had choreographed a 40 second introduction) because his equipment couldn´t handle mp3 format :-/, we decided to freestyle to Marc Anthony instead. The show turned out to be completely spontaneous, the music was waaay slower (and longer!) than what we intended, but when you´re in the spotlight, I guess you have to make do with what you have :-)
Some good turn patterns, no feeling though.....Mambo or On2 is about dancing in tight quarters....but I guess you made do....
