Super Mario Bros. 3 - Famimaga Sept. 1988 Early Beta Footage

Originally found on Nico Nico Douga titled, ファミマガVideo創刊9月号 (literally Famimaga Video ), I stumbled upon this while searching for media on Mother 3 for Shat-Canned Legends.

Very interesting stuff, especially upon seeing that these 80s Japanese game videos are from a completely different, and simpler era. Innocent too.

The video shows the various differences of this prerelease version to the final that my annotations will go over. For one, none of the levels are recognizable (except perhaps one particular part), and the HUD is different.

Did anyone notice on the grass para-beetle on 0:33, that the five para-beetles and the three coins on the upper-right hand corner are in THE EXACT SAME SPOT as in the sky para-beetle stage on 0:40 ???

Mario World on SNES was and is my all time favorite mario game.
