  • I'm amazed at some of the masterclass comments. Andytrumpet66, if you are so capable, why are you not principal trumpet in the LSO? The job was advertised publicly and open auditions were held. The only serious rebuttal to playing of this quality is a video of your own 'better' version. You name your trumpet prof - not naming yourself?

I understand jealously will be caused by talent like this, but when someone is THIS good, just sit back and enjoy it!

PS. Annoying as it is, he's a nice guy too.

  • I have to say, my favorite part of watching other people play brass and woodwind instruments is the faces they make.

  • Great player. Give him a break. He is a player, he is not God. He will not be perfect everyday or meet everybody's taste at once. And at the end, he got the job and we did not.

  • To be honest, I don't think this is really a fair assessment of his playing because the recording quality is kinda shitty. He's obviously a great player with great musicianship (he's the goddamn principle of the lso) but some recording engineer screwed up in recording him and now everyone is bitching. So long story short, stop bitching.

  • I think people are more jealous of his looks than his trumpet playing.

  • 1:56 his face was turn in to red color.

  • I think they changed the sound because in the scene where he played, the guy talked, then he played again, the guy's voice was a lot quieter. They probably lowered the volume electronically since he was playing directly at the camera.

  • Popped collar for the win.

  • Looks painful -_____-

  • RIP Nigel Gomm.
