If you know the Cliff House waves, and if you know how typical storm waves look there, you'd know that this was something extraordinary -- the way the whole ocean level rose and the way the surges moved...not typical long-period storm waves!

Looks like the waves you see in general at the Cliff House.

was throwing a football around at the same spot at like 4am in the morning and threw it over the barrier and thought it was lost forever but it landed on the cliff shown at 3:20...i was so happy
