Video taken by Art. I was used to landing trainer planes. This plane doesn't float like a trainer. I found I have to land it at a faster speed, or it stops flying and just flops down.
With Trojan, most people make the downwind leg too short and rush the turn onto finals to drop her onto the field. That rushed turn in itself imparts additional energy adding to the airspeed. A real long approach, gradually reducing the throttle to flying minimum will bring her in long, flat and as slow as possible. The flair needs to be started gently, early enough so it can be long, progressive and very, very slow. Using low rates will make this much easier - high rates cause over control.
Your approach is far, far too short giving insufficient time to wash airspeed off at minimum throttle, producing a balloon instead of a flair before touchdown.
@clydedogg You're probably right. Been some time since I've flown that plane. I'll watch the video again to see what you're talking about. Thanks for the input!

Thanks for posting - my T28 comes in pretty fast too, still getting used to it. 78" wingspan for your new version? Woo hoo - good luck with that!

@rcflyer40plus1 Acutally, the 60 size and 120 size planes are both well behaved.

@clydedogg A long approach, judicious use of throttle, low rates make sense. I will try that the next time I fly it. (I'm used to flying trainers)
