Prague, Czech Republic On Google Earth

Note: My apologies, but, in the video captions, I misspelled "Czechoslovakia" I would have to redo and re-upload the video to correct that, but, the country is no longer called Czechoslovakia, but, the Czech Republic.

Looks like more and more of the cities on Google Earth are having high quality 3D buildings added to them. A high speed dual core CPU equipped computer and a broadband internet connection is a big help in playing around with Google Earth!

I used a program called "Fraps" (Testing out the demo version) to convert the animated graphics on Google Earth to .avi video. You can get Fraps at http://www.fraps.com

Pipe organ music background was music I downloaded from http://www.sonusparadisi.cz for free courtesy of Jiri Zurek. A great site to go to if you are interested in pipe organ music, esp of old historic pipe organs.

I will surely forgive you a misspelled Czechoslovakia (which hasn't existed since 1993, by the way). But why is the quality of your 3D model much higher than on my Google Earth? Are you using a paid service? Or just a much more powerful PC than mine?

I see that you are from the Czech Republic in the town of Pilsen. I will have to look that up on the map.

As for Google Earth, I am using the free version, Ver number 5.0.11733.9347 and my computer consist of an Asus P5N-E SLI motherboard, A GeForce 8500GT 256 MB video graphics card and the CPU is an Intel E6750 Core 2 Duo processor (2.66 Ghz)

It seem to do a good job with high speed graphics applications.

Dear Philovideo, with a laptop that is not mine, I can also get better results.

It may be the dual processor that makes the difference - because the desktop PC where I never get the nice detailed patterns on the surfaces has a GeForce 8500GT with 256 MB, too (so we're brothers).

Pilsen may be found on the map. But you should also have one in the fridge (beer that gave the beer its name)!

Prague is without a doubt the most beautiful city I've ever visited. As to the food, the beer, and yes, the people, words are inadequate......the city and it's people are in a class by itself.
