On January 6, 2009, PES Network, Inc CEO, Sterling D. Allan, conducted a 1.5-hour video interview with Paul Isom, CEO of sEnergy Technologies on site in their Salt Lake City showcase. sEnergy provides a line of products that save energy, while increasing quality and saving money for residential and commercial markets.

This is Part 4 in the interview, and part 1 of 2 about refrigeration saving technologies.

Here, Paul describes a commercial refrigeration switch device that is put in a refrigerator or freezer to sense food temperature rather than air temperature, so that the compressor is run only to keep the food at the desired temperature, rather than responding to changes in air temperature which vary much more and is not nearly so relevant, saving energy and saving on compressor life.

Paul also addresses some misconceptions regarding power factor correction, which is often over-rated, explaining why the motor controller technology is superior.

He also discusses a line of motors for fans inside commercial refrigeration units, that don't produce nearly as much heat that fights against the cooling objective.
