Well, I'm from Germany and I've to say that her German isn't as bad as I thought. Well of course, it sounds better when a native speaker sings it! We'll play this at our school and in my opinion the death should be sung by a man, it sounds better (well, at least it does when we're playing it)

I'm not too sure if I would tune the piano to be honest. Out of tune pianos sound unnerving and that is definitely what this song needs.

I'm a 19 year old that has one competitions with this song... don't question my knowledge of this song... read a German diction book.... maybe I was little harsh when I said horrible, but it would help if you would look up a couple of those words.. some of them were really bad

hey whats with not going for the LOW D. i know its hard most people opt for the higher D like you did. but wasnt this written for a bass? i guess altos can go at it too. but i still love your performance.

I can't make the low D. I'm still trying to improve this piece, esp. the second part. David Daniels sings this one better than anyone else! It's on Serenade
