WHCR-FM aircheck and tribute - August 2000

It seems as though I upload stuff every two years. This time, I have something original: a brief aircheck from my morning show on WHCR-FM (90.3) at City College of New York, from a Thursday morning in the summer of 2000.

Before real life interrupted my radio career, I hosted a morning show once (and later twice) a week, did fill-in work on occasion, and handled behind-the-scenes production. My run at WHCR actually began when I was still a student at CCNY in 1996, and I stayed until 2002.

In this clip I was previewing an upcoming two-week event celebrating old-school (pre-1995) hip-hop music. Along with myself, you will hear my other co-hosts. At the end of the clip are some faces of those I worked alongside of during my time at WHCR. Enjoy!
