This song has a melody. That is its' power.. The songs of today(2000,s) have no melodies or very weak ones. They are just chords however amplified and the same all purpose semi melody over and over. It is very hard to discover a new melody. It's like having a metor fall in your backyard. DH Auden a famous poet once said that about writing a good poem.

My father wanted to name me after this song, but then i became a boy.... He has named me Corrina though.
-
one of the most beautifully song ever, and of course with ray peterson

Phil Spector went on to produce records after being a 'Teddy Bear'. But he needed a top ten hit to break the ice and he got it with 'Corinna, Corinna' in '59. The rest is history as the ' Wall of Sound' is formed.

This sounded best emanating from the rear chrome-plated "REVERB" speaker
of a '60 Chevy Impala!
