Just some 3-screen ASCII animation

Made with Python, and PIL, on Linux (Ubuntu Gutsy), in a Bash shell, fullscreened over 3 screens. Code is frightfully simple (I'm a n3wb) but is here if you should want it:

Very cool - one of the better ascii videos at youtube - the green is nice and the close-up is great -but-...

You should redo this video without a camera - set everything up to happen and record in the os.

mplayer supports ascii playback.

For me, comments take a long time to appear. I got a notice about your comment earlier today, but as usual, there was none here. Then after work, it was. I make comments often, and they don't appear for an hour, or longer.

I didn't know mplayer could do that. Thanks for the tip! One problem with recording it is the sheer size of the display. The monitor is effectively 3840x1024, and the ASCII was something like 240 columns wide. I linked to the code in the description. You can give it a whirl if you like.
