And so, the journey begins...

Control Panel - puzzle hints:

1. The easiest way, is to zoom in and zoom out twice on the puzzle... therefore skipping it all together.

or try method #2 (the one I used)

2. For Part I, the solution is as follows:

a) move the slider to the right
b) turn the left dial fully to the right
c) turn the right dial fully to the right
d) move the slider to the left
e) turn the left dial fully to the right
f) turn the center dial fully to the right

For Part II, this is trickier / harder to do. So, the only advice I can give on the second part of the puzzle, is to listen to Atrus.

In closing, special thanks to Ubisoft for creating such a great game! Also, thanks to Cyan Worlds for creating the first few Myst games.

  • why can i not find any gameplay on Myst 1 ??

  • @sweetXsweet2009 Try the YouTube search box and type in "Myst chapter 1" or search "realmyst" for the updated version. Hope this helps!

  • Is it recommended that I play the other Myst games first or are they even related story-wise?

  • @XagenER There is an overall story to the series. However, even if you only played Myst IV you'll still be able to fully understand the back story / what you may have missed. The books in Myst IV are especially helpful.

  • is this for xbox or for pc cause i have been looking for one for xbox but haven't come across one.

  • @sirlancealot69er In answer to your question, this video walkthrough is for the PC version only. However, if you're asking if there is an Xbox version then yes. Myst IV was made for Windows, OS X, and the Xbox. That being said, I would try a Google search or Amazon if you're looking to buy a copy. Hope this answers your question.

  • Finally, somebody's doing a proper walkthrough of Myst IV. You don't know how hard it is to find a good walkthrough.

  • @XagenER Just read the books and you will be fine. All the books explain the backstory of the game. You may miss some neat plots but necceary.

  • @EllipticalRealm same goes for Exile...

  • quite a Steam-punkish atmosphere in here.....hm guess i'll buy this game....how much does it cost?

  • lets begin SCHH!!

  • Atrus has a feather duster in his butt pocket :D

  • I really wanna play this game!!! Arghhhh!! So beautiful!!

  • Ah! This is good! Our pc went tits up half way through playing this game, so I never got to see the ending. :( It's a joy that I now can. Thanks for posting

  • 00:38 Gorden freeman?

  • "Truth is, I need your help." Again. (Reminds me of Riven...)

Myst is probably the best Point and Click game series ever.

I wish they made the movie though.

  • Oh god, the nostalgia is overtaking me. I am one of the biggest Myst fanboys out there and would DIE for a HD remake of some sort or a mod so I can play them in complete 3D.
