Inspired from the writings by M. Lovejoy, Digital Currents: Art in the Electronic Age (Routledge, 2004), this is a kinetic sculpture performance narrating the relationship and struggles between man's inner "needs" and outer physical "wants".
Leashed to the interests of capitalism, the circus puppet (vaguely resembling the human form) struggles to break free from the inevitables of survival. These struggles of fears and horrors were brought on to man by machines and technologies during the early 20C (Industralisation). Ironically, man have grown to be highly dependent on them in today's society (Neo-modernism?). While escape may only be by disintegration, do one really desire to exist within any space and time?
