Vega is the guy with Claws in America, but not in Japan. The original names were Vega for the Dictator, M. Bison for Boxer, and Balrog for the claws. They had to switch them around for the American version to prevent a lawsuit from Mike Tyson the real boxer..since M. Bison sounds too familiar..and looks just like him. Usually people just refer to these 3 as the Dictator, the Boxer, and the Claw to avoid confusion.

i havent played SF in ages but as i remember Vega was the dude with the "wolverine claws"... or i'm mixing stuff up ? :D

Sagat has higher stats, a tiger shot recovery that's (slightly) faster than ryu, and an ultra that can executed by a juggle WITHOUT an FADC.

Counter-able of course, it just takes more skill but at the pro levels people don't get much more skilled than others, so using Sagat pretty much bumps your chances of winning by a lot.
