More than a thousand people showed up Friday for Gov. Sarah Palin's annual picnic held in her hometown of Wasilla. Palin, who is resigning and leaves office on Sunday, used the occasion to sign autographs and hand out hot dogs. (July 25)

Furthermore, it's not anyone's damn business what she wants to do with her time now that she's not the governor anymore. It's not like she said "Oh, I'm gonna quit governing to write a book!!" She stepped down because she was having to waste TAXPAYERS' MONEY to defend herself and didn't think it was right to the people. If she wants to use her free time now to write a book, more power to her. Perhaps she wants to defend HERSELF for a change, in a way that won't cost ALASKA: by writing a book.
