Visual and performance differences in a visual summary.

As Phil Taylor has rightfully pointed out in the comments section of the video, with bloom enabled and water on 2.X High people should see similar or higher framerates than with lower settings.

Also to note, because of the use of image capturing software to record the video, users should expect slightly higher FPS than given in the video.

My personal opinion? I believe you are best off simply utilizing what you "feel" is best. Please note however, DX10 does include some visual bugs for some third party addons. Again, it is really up to the end user to decide what is best for them.

  • I would be better if your video was HD then I can see the true difference.

  • @MrGadgetolic I concur, however I believe this was filmed before or right at the time that YouTube had HD.

  • can I please ask how do you fix the basic theme issue for FSX in Windows 7 or Vista?

  • @Maaz360Inam actually, you are likely better off with it switching to the basic theme. Having the Aero theme activated during gameplay would likely decrease FPS.

  • Direct X9 Better -_-

  • dude what do u think what cpu is better- the E6400 or the E6600?

  • how do you dx 10

  • Absoloutely no difference :)

  • @acesin17 Yep.. It's weird, some of the DX 10's look better, some don't. It's also strange that the DX10 scenery appears to scroll in a bit slower, but the far scenery remains the same loading speed..

  • @asdfghjklsaab Yea, It took me a bit to figure that out, it's a bit confusing the way it's up now.

  • @acesin17 Oh, I understand, my bad.. I was assuming it was total frames.

  • @asdfghjklsaab I think it means how many frames it gets better by.

  • Hey man, Please help me. Whenever I turn on the DX10 preview mode, the Anti Aliasing doesn't seem to work. I have DX11 graphics card and Windows 7 Ultimate.
