Dear Tim,

Sending you best wishes and solidarity from Great Britain. We are Climate Rush, a women- led climate change campaigning group that has taken inspiration and based our actions on the Suffragettes. The Suffragettes coined the slogan 'Deeds Not Words', which we use as our slogan as well. While we are utterly heartbroken and incredibly angry at your sentence, we are truly inspired by your action.

You have demonstrated indeed that it is deeds and not words that get noticed. We in the climate change movement know that you were put away not because the American government believed that you would actually purchase that land, but because they are afraid that you and more people will carry out similar actions. They are embarrassed and scared. And we are energised -- your peaceful civil disobedience has set a fire in us.

We will continue to carry out actions that embarrass and scare the British government, and we will act in solidarity with you and all the activists and oppressed people who continue to be persecuted by corporations, governments, and the purveyors and purchasers of greed across the globe.

Please know that you are loved and supported. Keep up the struggle and don't lose hope.
