Uh... no offense to these reporters (or the owner) but Chibi-Chan is a boy. Female house sparrows are brown and rather dull colored, with a faint whiteish stripe behind their eyes. It's the males who have the black breast patch and brown/white heads, which is what Chibi-Chan has.

@powerofsonic It's male. I would bet my life on it, I spent a good time studying these birds. Look at the black in its throat. If you don't know how to differentiate them AT LEAST check wikipedia. en . wikipedia . org / wiki / House_Sparrow
