@Madblokey I agree about staggering the joints . However, the way you achieve this is when you lay your acoustic board, you lay it, lets say width ways. Across the room in a brick-bond pattern. When you lay your plywood, you lay that the opposite way, at rightangles to the acoustic, along the length of the room. Also in a brick bond pattern. The off-cut from the end of a run can be used to start the next run. minimalising cutting.

how is it that the acoustic boards are not being laid side by side in full boards with all the cutting at the edge? This seems to show the hardest and most incorrect way. He's having to cut nearly every piece prior to placing. L-shaped, Z-shaped! They're all in there...! Hope its only his own house he's let loose on. Crazy, lol

@1851davidb The idea is to stagger all the joins, and also avoid joins in the same place as the joins in the plywood......
