Week four of the 2010 National Football League season marks the beginning of the bye schedule.  As games are played on Sunday, October 3, and Monday, October 4, 2010, the Dallas Cowboys, Kansas City Chiefs, Minnesota Vikings and Tampa Bay Buccaneers have the week off.

Early Sunday afternoon games include several winless teams searching for their first victory, including the San Francisco 49ers, who visit the Atlanta Falcons, the Buffalo Bills, who host the New York Jets, the Carolina Panthers, who head to New Orleans to meet the Saints, the Cleveland Browns, who welcome the Cincinnati Bengals, and the Detroit Lions, who travel to play the Green Bay Packers.

The 1-2 Oakland Raiders will be playing with heavy hearts on Sunday when they take on the Houston Texans.  A moment of silence is expected at the Oakland Coliseum before the game to honor the passing of Hall of Fame quarterback and Raider-great George Blanda.

Quarterback Donovan McNabb will visit his former team, the Philadelphia Eagles, for the first time Sunday afternoon as his Washington Redskins look for their first road win of the season.

In Sunday night action, the Chicago Bears hope to continue their undefeated streak when they travel to the new Meadowlands Stadium to play the New York Giants.

Week four wraps up with an unofficial Michigan alumni night on Monday Night Football. Former Wolverines quarterbacks Tom Brady of the New England Patriots and Chad Henne of the Miami Dolphins meet in Miami.

Other week four 2010 games include the Baltimore Ravens at the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Denver Broncos at the Tennessee Titans, the Seattle Seahawks at the St. Louis Rams, the Indianapolis Colts at the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Arizona Cardinals at the San Diego Chargers.
