If you watch this you are a cycling fan, so I address my question to you. Why is veldrome not more popular? Incredible sport, exciting, and the athletes.... their legs are bigger than my waist!!! Why don't we get this in the u.s.? We get football (no rugby) and no cycling. AAARRRGGHGHGHGGHHHH!!!!!!!!!

boxster, unfortunately this is true. Over in Europe, athletes have much more support than here in the USA. Track cycling has suffered for a long time compared to road. I compete myself at the masters level and I know that everywhere outside the USA, the US cycling federation cant even compare to the support riders get in countries like France, Germany, UK, Australia...the riders are the best from those areas and it makes sense why they are. It wont change in the states either. cest la vie!
