@iminyjo I agree with you. Especially when it asks the question, "Am I no good to you now?" Which to me seems as if he is asking the girl that he is in a relationship with now if he is still what she wants after finding out what is wrong with him. Also when he says, "Spent my days with doctors" which could possibly mean he is seeing some sort of therapist or psychiatrist to deal with something.

Incredible song. I agree with iminyjo though. Looks more like he lost someone he's been hanging onto for a while, and by the end of the song he realizes there's more to life than memories.
