I thought this was Von Trier's Medea (1988). No, never been LA. :)

I think the mistake is that this is not Lars Van Trier's "Medea" (1988) which was made in Denmark with Kristen Olesen as Medea. According to magamayd this is a version inspired by Lars Van Trier's "Medea. This version is a film short from 2007 starring Alice Krige as Medea on location in Los Angeles, the Los Angeles River to be exact. Have you been to Los Angeles?
