I live in western canada, and everybody has guns here... but there's hardly any murders at all. In a city of about 1.2 million people, we've only had 6 murders in eleven months, and our police to population ratio is one of the lowest of any major city in north america... but one of the highest rates of gun ownership in the nation. This is a great place to live. Great hunting and shooting sports, and safe streets. People seem to just behave like civilized human beings here, and it's fucking great

Like most cities they don’t have the jobs they need citizens. Next is the city won’t invest in CSI that should have enough people and equipment so can work old cases. Next the cops need more trained homicide cops. Next they need cut response time to less than 5 minutes. And for that more expend a lot more money which the city does not have.

i am not a criminal, but as a law-abiding citizen, i think more gun laws are absurd because the only ones that these laws hurt are those who follow the law..no one in their right mind is going to commit crimes with a legally registered firearm..if everyone who has a legally registered firearm was allowed to carry it, a criminal would think twice before preying on the good people who have a right to protect themselves

Toronto and Detroit have roughly the same population, yet for every gun homicide in TO there's almost two hundred in Detroit. Gee - wonder why that is? Could it be be related to the number of guns floating around? You don't solve gun problems with yet more guns.
