This song is included in his second album. Mario Frangoulis is a greek tenor. He actually has released "Pasión", his last album tribute to the tenor Mario Lanza, performing italian songs. I haven't get this CD, but enjoy this song. In addition, this song is the main theme from the movie "Moulin Rouge", the song is performing originally by Ewan McGregor and Nicole Kidman in the movie

  • Is it just me, or the beginning of this song sounds a little bit like Labyrinth's soundtrack...? it reminds me of Underground...

Now back in topic, deeply and nice rendition of came whay may :)

  • To Tmtstudio1983 :

FINALLY a great and intelligent opinion ! While opinions about singers are subjective to personal taste, I share your viewpoint and reasoning. The correlation between sound and voice is so true, so is the rest what you stated ! I personally do not like to compare singers, the human voice is a personal instrument...it is like trying to compare a violin to a piano !

The performance however depends on the performer's capability to deliver on that instrument : )

  • @Jackiezyon That doesn't change the fact of who got a better voice/technique. Say the world all remember Madonna, Lady Gaga, Justin Timberlake, but does that mean their voices are tops, even better than Mario Frangoulis, Florian Prey, or even Thomas Quasthoff? NO! Of course this example is a bit extreme but the point is the same. You can say whatever is the best or most emotional, for my case I can say Pavarotti has a greater voice than most singers but his is not emotional moving all the time.

  • tmtstudio1983..it's like beauty , in the eye of the beholder.

  • Who's version do you think the world will remember?? That's right Ewan McGregor!!!

  • @Jackiezyon You can say Ewan McGregor/Nicole Kidman version sounds more passionate, or sound better in artistic term, these are all subjective opinions. But Ewan McGregor's voice better than Mario Frangoulis??? That's so not true. Whoever the voices' better are FACTS, since a great voice is ALWAYS about how good one's vocal technique is. A beautiful untrained "voice" is called a "sound". Mario Frangoulis' voice has the intensity and dynamics that Ewan Mcgregor can only dream of.

  • OMG!BRAVO MARIO!

  • @Jackiezyon you've no idea what you're talking about.

  • I LOOOVE THIS SONG! MARIO IS THE BEEEST!!!!

  • This shows how good ewan McGregor's voice is , this guy is trained singer. Ewan wins.
