if anything it was a parody of GET SMART, not the Monkees. Maybe become familiar with early TV shows then comment. The Monkees are no comparison to Hannah Montanna-their show was zany slapstick smiliar to the Marx Brothers. Have you seen "HEAD", excellent!

When I was a teenage babysitter of neighborhood kids, lo those many, many, many years ago, Nick at Nite used to show The Monkees and Lancelot Link Secret Chimp back to back. I loved it! I watched for The Monkees (love them!) and stayed for the chimps.

no no no lancelot link was not a parody of the monkees, it was a spy show, lancelot link was a secret agent chimp and he had all these missions against CHUMP-criminal headquarters for underworld master plan- Link worked for APE-agency to prevent evil and he had all these villians like dragon woman, wang fu,ali assa seen and the duchess to fight against. the show had a host-ed simian who talked like ed sullivan. it was more a parody of get smart . link had a band too, the evolution revolution
