  • chinese swords are underused, evryone uses the katana being a samurai/ninja two-handed weapon, when the chinese blade is considered "the gentlemens weapon" with more than combat use, such as defining nobility or a rank in military

  • To all the comments of the jian i have to say it's good to see that people a truly have a sense of sword and it's use it's truly a dying art! I agree scott rodells stuff's pretty good he's reallt keeping it alive... as for windskar88's comment well put my brother!!! Well put...

  • joetaichi- Did you see that teacher Rodell has a book out called:

A Practical Guide to Test Cutting for Historical Swordsmanship

it is available on Amazon or his Seven Stars Trading site.

  • very true,i respect this far more than other styles

  • But still a respectable sword style.

  • Interested in Chinese Swordsmanship? Take a look at:

    swordleague DOT com

There is a full contact tournament coming in May '08.

  • Just imagine how us Historical European Martial Artists feel :P

  • Good edge angle control, but the cutter could use more control of the overall cut, a single rolled beach mat like this can easily be cut with a swing half the length of the one used.

  • very nice... also liked the music... very relaxing.
